Donating to Friends of AEA
As we highlighted in the welcome newsletter, the purposes of Friends of
Albert Einstein Academies (FoAEA) is to support programs at AEA including Art,
Music, Science, Physical Education, Gardening and Nutrition, Field Trips,
and Assembles. Support of these programs comes through the generosity of
our families, matching grants from companies parents work at, company
sponsorships, and additional fundraising programs such as the Amazon
affiliate referral program, Artsonia, and Box Tops. We couldn't do any of this

understand gets old fast. The more people we can get to sign up now, the sooner
we'll be able to back off on asking for all of you to sign up for our
annual donation drive. It only takes a minute to sign up at
foaea.org/donate and there are many
donation options. You can do a one time donation of any ammount or you can
sign up for a monthly subscription, again of any amount. We encourage families
to donate $1/day (or $30/month) but any amount helps and any amount is

FoAEA Board Meeting this Thursday
This Thursday, we will have the first FoAEA board meeting of the
school year. The meeting will be located at the AEA Middle School
(458 26th St, San Diego, CA 92102) from 6-8pm in Donny Power's classroom.
Everybody from the AEA community is welcome to attend.
We have three open board positions. If you are interested in helping on
the board this year and are interested in any of the positions below, please
attend Thursday's meeting!

Youth Enrichment Center Enrollment
Open enrollment for the Youth Enrichment Center 2016 - 2017!
Albert Einstein’s exciting afterschool program for all middle school
students. The Center is an engaging and safe place for the children to
stay after school and is open every day until 6:00pm. The children have
space to do homework, read, attend workshops, socialize and play games.

Middle School Teacher Wish List
Our amazing teachers have some pretty awesome things planned for our
kids this year, and they need our help. The following teachers are
- Mr. Allen – 7th grade social studies: Markers, all colors
(40 sets), Colored pencils (40 sets), Sharpies, fine point, any color (40 sets
or individual pens), Rolls of masking tape (40), Rolls of aluminum foil (40),
