Friends of AEA Weekly Newsletter
September 5-9th, 2016 Newsletter Requests

Welcome Back

We hope everybody (students and families) are settling into the new school year. If you missed our welcome newsletter, you can always find it online here. Each week, we will send out this e-mail newsletter highlighting the events at AEA in the coming week as well as other longer term events that we are planning for. If there are upcoming events or notices that you'd like to see in this newsletter, you can send an e-mail to newsletter_request@foaea.org.

Donating to Friends of AEA

As we highlighted in the welcome newsletter, the purposes of Friends of Albert Einstein Academies (FoAEA) is to support programs at AEA including Art, Music, Science, Physical Education, Gardening and Nutrition, Field Trips, and Assembles. Support of these programs comes through the generosity of our families, matching grants from companies parents work at, company sponsorships, and additional fundraising programs such as the Amazon affiliate referral program, Artsonia, and Box Tops. We couldn't do any of this without you.

Being asked for money all the time is something that we completely understand gets old fast. The more people we can get to sign up now, the sooner we'll be able to back off on asking for all of you to sign up for our annual donation drive. It only takes a minute to sign up at foaea.org/donate and there are many donation options. You can do a one time donation of any ammount or you can sign up for a monthly subscription, again of any amount. We encourage families to donate $1/day (or $30/month) but any amount helps and any amount is appreciated.

Last year, approximately 160 families donated to FoAEA. Let's see if we can increase that amount this year!

Benefiting AEA Shopping at Amazon.com

The amazon.com affiliate program has become one of our most successful fundraisers over the last few years in part because it doesn't cost anything beyond what you were going to purchase anyway. This school year is off to a great start with August raising over $800.

How does the program work? Simple! The only thing special you need to know is our link foaea.org/amazon.

Tell your friends. Tell your family. Get the word out. Shop at Amazon through foaea.org/amazon and the school gets 8% of our purchase price back. That's it. If you ever forget the link, you can always find it at the top of our newsletters.
