The Rock’n Run-a-thon is back! Wednesday, Feb 22th

The Rock‘n Run-a-thon is a fun, music-energized day to celebrate fitness and our school! Students will rock out while they run or walk the playground/Running Club course with their friends. This is a fun one-day event that encourages all elementary students to take an active role in FUNdraising! Students can also earn cool prizes by raising money for AEA’s Enrichment Programs, like PE, art, music, science and gardening. Visit our Fusion Physical Education Website to read how the allocated PE funds will be used.

Donations are due by Tuesday, Feb. 21 so prizes can be ordered and delivered to students before Spring Break.

Fill out your orange donation sheet and turn in with checks or cash to the box in the front office or to your teacher. Extra forms are in the office, or print here: Donation sheet and details. Please make checks payable to: "Friends of AEA" or "FOAEA".

Credit cards accepted at foaea.org/run_a_thon.

All donations (cash, check, online) for a participant will be totaled so runners are qualified for their appropriate fundraising prize.

Your runner can win different prizes depending on their total donation amount:

  • $20 - your runner earns a 2017 Rock’n Run-a-thon drawstring backpack
  • $40 - your runner earns a 2017 Rock’n Run-a-thon t-shirt and drawstring backpack
  • $80 - your runner earns an AEA water bottle, 2017 Rock’n Run-a-thon t-shirt and drawstring backpack
  • $140 - your runner earns a Fusion Performance Wear Jacket! (uniform-compliant) , AEA water bottle, 2017 Rock’n Run-a-thon t-shirt and drawstring backpack

Parent Volunteers: We would love your help during the event to cheer on all of the runners or run a few laps with your child. Parents will also help with water stations and tracking laps around the AEA Playground/Running Club course.

Run Schedule:

  • Kindergarten: 9:10-9:30 a.m.
  • 1st Grade: 9:40-10:00 a.m.
  • 2nd Grade: 10:10-10:30 a.m.

We have set up times during lunch, for adults and 1st-5th grade students to perform. This will bring music onto our campus, and into the lives of our learning community. Live music month lunch time performances are scheduled for February 2nd, 9th, and 23rd.

Support essential enrichment programs at AEA

Please help support essential programs at AEA through a donation to Friends of Albert Einstein Academies. Our goal is to have 200 families participate in this donation drive. Donating to FoAEA supports the enrichment programs that our kids benefit from including art, music, PE and science programs and provides funds for field trips, assemblies, and classroom supplies.

If you haven't signed up yet, please take 5 minutes to contribute to AEA's enrichment programs. Go to our donation website from your mobile device or computer and select a monthly donation amount or a one time donation. Choose $30/month ($1/day) or any amount affordable to you. Even $5 or $10 per month makes a huge difference for the kids.

Matching Grants

Last year, the following companies made matching grants to FoAEA: Union Bank, Qualcomm, Pfizer, Intuit, Genentech, Covidien, Nokia, and ARS National Svcs.

We thank all of these companies for their generous support. If you work for any of these companies and have not yet taken advantage of their matching grant program, it just takes a few minutes and is free money to the school. One way of finding out if your employeer supports matching grants is to look at this list of companies. Information normally needed to have an employeer make a matching grant is available here.
